Exclamation Your Favorite Zone For Farming

The curiousity is abuz again, and it's time to make more diagrams, so if you can post as much info on this topic, it helps my research.

"Where is your favorite zone to farm, and why?" -It doesn't have to be specific tactics or anything, but any info helps

"Who do you farm it with?" Aka Guildies, Friends, henchies, or solo.

And any other situational piece of information that might be directly linked to the above topics, feel free to post.

Favourite zone? Riverside Province mission. Prefered for money? Griffon Farming outside Augury Rock.

With whom? I do it alone.

Like many others I like to farm the Griffs and Minos outside Augury Rock solo with my modified W/Mo build. Only 2-3k a run, but once you get it down solidly you can get quite a lot of money over a relatively short period of time.

If I tweaked my build and bought a few skills I could solo riverside once again...

need them gold armors...

seince faction is quite easy now; i think people unlocked runes dont really need riverside anymore tho.

I personally do not understand why people do not post their farming areas......farming builds maybe since you want to keep your strategy.....like people have said that Gates of Kryta got nerfed but yet i still get 1.5k-2k per run......i still think thats pretty good

UW and FoW with not sucky pickupgroups. Really worth your time if your an Echo Nuker dealing most of the damage and getting good drops I got like 3 shards on one 20 min not complete FoW run and got an ecto on my first UW run.

Heh, trapper groups charge too much to take you to get a spider >< I think it should be less than 10k a person to like 5 other people ><

UW, FoW, Mineral Springs with my warrior, alone.

Although if America could just hold the hall a little more often...

Well i like going outside yaks bend to farm because I do it by myself I can be mobbed by dozens of enemies and fend them off pretty easily and collect all the loot

it's not the best as far as a cash cow but you can get about 1k within about 20-30 minutes plus all the junk you can sell afterwards I usually dump it off on the merchants because i don't need all those things cluttering up my inventory

I farm Ettins across North Kryta (Massacre's Rune Run) by myself when I'm bored.

Augury Griffons with one of my freinds, or alone if he's not on.

And I farm carrots and potatoes when- never mind.

I don't farm where I can't solo.

My first love is Skyward Reach- Hydras all the way! I get a lot of keys (which stack and are worth 225g apiece) and gold / purple items. And Dessicated Claws stack, plus they make good trophies. Closing in on the 400 mark.

I soloed Witman's Folly for a couple hours one day this week, but was unimpressed. For one thing, Azure Remains and Grawl neclaces are only worth 8 gold apiece (compared to 25 for desert stackables), and the drops pretty much sucked. The one advantage is that Grawl will drop armor (nobody in the desert does), so the chance of getting a superior rune are higher. In fact, the only gold drop I had was a superior hammer rune, and the unsalvaged armor was worth more than the rune itself. Blah.

Only the Drakes were nerfed in the Kryta mission. I still farm Undead there on occasion, and I've gotten a black dye and a 10/10 Sundering bow string from low-level undead in the past few weeks. And heck, you get about 20 Orr Emblems and 150+ bones per run, which add up quick.

What people miss about farming (I used to as well, but figured it out) is that an item's value is partly dependent upon who drops it. I ID everything. I maximize my money based on GPIS- gold per inventory slot. I've ID'ed white weapons with less than perfect damage to be worth close to and sometimes over 100 gold apiece. Had max damage ones be worth less than 60. Blue items sometimes ID as Precious, so that 13-21 bow can still be worth 160 gold. And I keep stackables, since 250*25 = 6250 gold in one inventory slot. Only have about 35 Elonian keys so far, but one day I'll have my 250. I pick up everything, and once my inventory is full, I ID everything I have. I start at 50 gold as my limit, and drop everything worth less than 50. Then as I fill up more, I drop everything less than 60. Then 70. At that point I return to town and sell the stuff to the merchant. Each run is worth a few thousand in just item sales alone. That doesn't count stackables, piles of gold, dyes, or rare items worth auctioning.

For lower lvl chars or non-warrior chars, I usually farm outside the Gates of Kryta mission. Plenty of mergoyles and quite often some nice drops. None of the weapons are max dmg of course, but I've salvaged some decent upgrades. You can make 1k in 30 mins pretty easily.

With my w/mo I usually farm the hydras outside Augary.

I'm a Ranger/Ele and it's impossible for me to solo the griffs. So i prefer UW 'coz it's easy with 2 trappers.

But im making W/N to solo Griffs and he is level 10 now i'll change him to Mo and will farm Griffs...

I like Griffon/Minotaur farming outside Augury Rock. Some of my guildies can make 15k an hour there.
